Hello Cherkovo!

Cherkovo is a small but vibrant Bulgarian village set in rolling countryside with easy access to the airport at Burgas.

Whilst Cherkovo has the largest number of British residents of all the villages in the Burgas / Karnobat region, it remains a very authentic Bulgarian village where life continues at the same steady pace that generations have enjoyed.
Cherkovo is renowned for the quality of garlic, onions and grapes grown in the fertile black soil which blankets the valley in which the villages lays.grapes
The surrounding countryside is ideal for pony trekking and horse riding with numerous tracks and byways between the surrounding villages.

The villagers are warm and very welcoming, and enjoy sharing a glass or two of home made rakia or wine with their friends.
Whilst English is not widely spoken in the village, communication is rarely a problem, and adds to the fun of making new friends.

Cherkovo is a great place to live, especially for those looking to escape the rat race and settle down to a relaxed natural lifestyle.
Making the move to any Country is made easier with the support and guidance of others who have already done so.
We hope this website will provide a wealth of knowledge, and introduce you to the growing English community in the area.

Please feel free to use the forums and facilities on this webiste, and be sure to come and visit. You will find the villagers welcoming and the summer skies clear and blue. Even the winters are a refreshing change to the grey skies of the UK.
